Downtown Shanghai to Complete DTV Migration by the End of 2008

2.4 million cable TV subscribers in downtown Shanghai are expected to see the migration from analog to digital TV signal transmission by the end of 2008, the local Oriental Morning Post reported. It is estimated that at least 200,000 subscribers will see the completion of analog-to-digital conversion by the end of 2007. Subscription rates will remain at the present level of 13 RMB (US$1.7; US$1 = 7.6 RMB) per month.
